Roseland, Chicago, IL — April 2, 2026 — The Youth Peace Center of Roseland hosted a heartfelt appreciation event to honor its local employer partners who are instrumental in providing job opportunities and workforce development for youth in the community. The event spotlighted the vital role that local businesses play in empowering young people and fostering a stronger, more resilient community.

The celebration recognized partners including Ambassador Floral Shop, CEDA, Erin's Cup, Chicago Furniture Bank, and several others, all of whom have contributed significantly to the success of the Youth Impact Youth Initiative Program (IYIP). These employer partners have introduced program participants to essential skills in customer service, warehousing, clerical work, food safety, and more — equipping them for successful careers.

Over the past quarter, the program has prepared 15 youth participants for the workforce, with three securing employment during the event. This achievement underscores the positive impact of community partnerships and the importance of investing in youth development.

"We are incredibly grateful for our employer partners who continue to invest in our community by providing meaningful opportunities for our youth," said Dave McCall, who coordinated the event. "Their support helps us build pathways to success and ensure our young people have the tools they need to thrive."
