Peace Ambassador Program

Empowering Youth to Lead with Peace and Purpose

The Youth Peace Center of Roseland (YPC) trains youth ages 16-24 as Peace Ambassadors to promote peace, character, positive decision-making, and community safety in Chicago's southside communities. In collaboration with four local agencies, participants engage in activities focused on life skills, job readiness, conflict resolution, mentorship, health, and leadership. They also create media projects to inspire peers and foster safer, healthier communities.

Mission: The Youth Peace Ambassadors program empowers youth to promote peace, leadership, mentorship, and positive decision-making, inspiring safer, healthier, and stronger southside communities.

Our Approach

Impact of the Peace Ambassadors Program

The Peace Ambassadors program successfully engaged 50 youth, with a high 93% completion rate, demonstrating strong commitment and engagement. Throughout the program, participants actively promoted messages of peace and positivity through social media, with 100% sharing positive content that helped foster community unity and spread awareness. All participants signed peace agreements, reaffirming their dedication to nonviolence and conflict resolution, while completing 20 hours of social service that contributed meaningful support to their neighborhoods.
